My mom announced a couple weeks ago that she was getting rid of some things, which immediately sent me into a panic because she has a basement full of good junk stuff. One thing (among many) that she was ready to part with is this rusty ol' plant stand that she used on her front porch.

I am on a mission to keep my herbs going this winter and wanted some kind of table or stand to put them on. After seeing this table in the premier issue of Lonny Magazine, I knew I had to have the plant stand.
So I told her I would take it off of her hands and after sending her the photo from Lonny Magazine, she suggested we paint it black. Perfect. So I painted it and now plan to keep small potted plants on it. I would like to have some kind of glass cut for each shelf, but I'm not quite sure how to get that accomplished. In addition to putting plants on this stand I think it would also be a great piece for serving food at a party. I am very happy with it. Thanks Mom. Keep the junk a comin'! Now if I can just remember to water...
