I had a very productive day. It started with a visit to the grocery store. Luckily this week Ella was happy to stay in the cart. Last week I had to carry her the whole time, well almost the whole time. Occasionally I would have to put her in the cart, but when she was in the cart she was screaming. A lady from the florist department even brought Ella a balloon, thinking that might help, unfortunately it didn't. (Although the balloon provided a week of enjoyment in the car). I have to say I really, really love Hy-Vee. Seems like every time I'm there they do something extra nice for me.
After the store Ella and I came home and she took a nap. I painted. I am almost done with the shelves. I have only one more shelf to do and then I'll have to do a 2nd coat. But the 2nd coat won't take very long. I can't wait to put that room back together.
Then we were off to get Charlie and go to the dentist. I took the boys with me so they could get used to our new dentist. My saint of a mother picked up Sam from school and met us there. And then wrestled and corralled the little monsters while I had my teeth cleaned. The good news is I have no cavities. And the boys thought it was all pretty cool. We'll see if that continues when they go next month. Poor Charlie will go to the dentist one day and the next day he will have tubes put in his ears and his adenoids removed. That's going to be quite the week.
After the dental adventure we headed home. Mom came over about an hour later and we went to Pizza Hut for supper. We went there because Charlie has several certificates for a free personal pan pizza for his reading goals each month. I think he thought it was cool to go and use his certificate, but then again I think he probably would have been just as happy if we went to Mama's Pizza.
And that was basically my day. It always feels good to have a productive day, especially after several wasted days in front of the computer this week...
I enjoyed my 30 day photo challenge a lot. I've been thinking of a new challenge and have decided to do a layout or card a day for 30 days. I was going to do just layouts, but I don't know if I can do that, so I'll throw in cards as an insurance policy.
3.22: Barefoot Biker
3.23: 2 boys
And this is just a bonus. I did this one last week.
I received these flowers today from two incredibly thoughtful and amazing friends. You know who you are and I thank you. It's a wonderful feeling to have people believe in you and support you and feel just as upset when things don't go the way you had hoped...
And speaking of amazing, this girl just makes it all ok. She is walking! She's been taking steps for months now, but the past couple of days she has just taken off! The timing is perfect with the nice weather and she loves being outside.
She started calling me "BaBa" this week. She likes to yell it. Not sure the people at Pizza Hut thought it's as cute as I do. Oh well.
