I can't believe it's our last Friday night in our house. Today we drove to the city to pick David up from work. After we passed Treasure Island I started to cry. The San Francisco skyline is magic and I will miss it. It was probably the last time I make that drive.

THERE'S DADDY!
As Neil Young wrote, "There are long roads behind me. There are long roads ahead." Or something like that.
On another note, I had a little negativity upset me today. I can't get too specific because I'm not always sure who reads my blog. Later I went to my favorite message board (honorable mention friends) and one of the women in the group posted this wonderful poem by Mother Teresa. Reading this brought me right back to what's important and it was what I needed to read right at that moment. People are sometimes
jealous and
negative and
untruthful and
selfish,
but that's ok. I'm going to try to not let it affect me so much. Because life is just too damn short. Period.
Shabbat Shalom. Happy Friday. And have a great weekend.
DO IT ANYWAY
People are often unreasonable,
illogical and self-centered;
Forgive them anyway.
If you are kind,
people may accuse you of selfish ulterior motives;
Be kind anyway.
If you are successful,
you will win some false friends and true enemies;
Succeed anyway.
If you are honest and frank,
people may cheat you;
Be honest anyway.
What you spend years building,
someone could destroy overnight;
Build anyway.
If you find serenity and happiness,
they may be jealous;
Be happy anyway.
The good you do today,
people will often forget tomorrow;
Do good anyway.
Give the world the best you have,
and it may never be enough;
Give the world the best you've got anyway.
You see, in the final analysis,
it is between you and God;
It was never between you and them anyway.
